Leadership Kentucky Announces New Board Members for 2020

A BIG thank you to Teresa Hail for her service to the Board of Directors in 2019. Pictured above, she passes the gavel to 2020 Board Chair Barbara Dickens. 

Leadership Kentucky announces the appointment of one new member to its Executive Committee, seven new members to the Board of Directors, as well as the full slate of officers and board members for 2020.


Barbara Dickens is serving as the 2020 Board Chair and Dan Bork announced as the 2021 Board Chair-Elect. Ken Perdue, previously a member of the board of directors, will now be serving as a member of the Executive Committee.
 
Joining the board of directors is Liz Snodgrass, Sara Hemingway, Tim Kraus, Beth McFarland, Gary Gerdemann, Alan Keck, and Cindy Wiseman.

Leadership Kentucky Class of 2020

Nominations Open!

We are now accepting nominations and recommendations for the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2020.


The application deadline for the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2020 is approaching! The application deadline is March 1. Do you know someone in your company or community that would be a great addition to the Leadership Kentucky Class of 2020? We are now accepting nominations for the next class! Click here to nominate someone. As a reminder, the applicant only receives the application once they've been nominated. 

Leadership Kentucky joins together a selected group of leaders, with a variety of career accomplishments and volunteer activities, to gain insight into complex issues facing the state. In a series of seven monthly, three-day sessions held at various locations throughout the state, participants meet with Kentucky leaders and explore the state’s resources and opportunities.

Alumni Dues

Pay your 2020 Alumni Dues Today!

By paying your 2020 Alumni dues, you will support programming that aims to teach, connect, and engage leaders across Kentucky. Because of your contributions, in recent years, we have expanded programming to include New Executives to Kentucky, Elevate Kentucky for young professionals, and BRIGHT Kentucky for Eastern Kentuckians.

In addition to your alumni dues, we invite you to consider a contribution to one or more of the scholarship funds below.

  • Angie Woodward Scholarship honors our longest-serving leader.
  • Lisa Murrell was a member of the 2008 LKY Class when she was diagnosed with lung cancer. In memory of her brave fight against cancer and Lisa’s spirit of courage, compassion, selflessness, and inspiration, her classmates created a scholarship that has helped many across the state to participate in the Leadership Kentucky experience.
  • Elmer Whitaker Scholarship Fund will assist LKY candidates from Eastern Kentucky.
  • Joan Riehm was an influential leader for her community and the Commonwealth and was one of the founders of Leadership Kentucky. 
  • Kentucky Women's Leadership Network (KWLN) created a scholarship for female participants and aims to involve women leaders in programs for the purpose of improving the personal, professional, economic, and public status of all women throughout the Commonwealth.

Kentucky Chamber Summit Discounts

We are pleased to offer an added alumni incentive to all Leadership Kentucky program graduates! There has been discussion and interest in topic-specific conferences and summits for alumni and leaders across the state. The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce already hosts many of these types of summits throughout the year and we have coordinated with the Chamber to provide a discount code for Leadership Kentucky alumni to attend these summits at a discounted rate.
 
For some of these upcoming events, you can use the discount code Leadershipky online when you register or you can reach out directly to Lori (at the Chamber) and mention the discount.
